Hiero the Giant

A painting of my character Hiero from my webcomic. He's meant to be a creature from the heart of the Earth called an ArchXehinoz, though he's more commonly referred to as a cave troll. He's the toughest wrestler in underground wrestling on the account that he's super strong to titanic degrees. Now hitting a midlife crisis at the top of his game, he chooses a more hedonistic lifestyle as opposed to active combat. Hiero's something of an anti-hero in the series; a friendly enough character who wants to keep amoral from the affairs of good vs evil, unless either side try to pick a fight on his doorstep or knock his favourite bands.

In this painting i'm depicting him as a beast on the run from the law (who grossly underestimate his credibility for some reason or another), traveling through sewers and pipe works alike.

Had fun painting it anyway.

Done in markers, watercolours, acrylics and a white gel pen i think. I was listening to all sorts of stuff when painting this. Can't help but wonder if there's something missing in this painting. Could be an anatomy thing but there's nothing i can do about that now. I was thinking more along the lines of tone, colour and texture.

Incidently i hid my signature into this one as opposed to just smacking it bang in the middle. See if you can find it.
