The Reawakening

To celebrate the new webpage look (haw) for my webcomic i doodled this painting. It started out simple but got more and more complicated. www.genmavisage.com/

As semi hinted in the title, i'm basically ripping off the front cover to the recent Berzerker album, the Reawakening. To be fair i threw in a lot of personal input as well in the designs and colour of things, so am i entitled to use the word "tribute" instead? Meh.

Done in marker pens, water colours and acrylics on A4 paper. Listening to the Berzerker and Testament. I kept on wondering what i could do to improve this but now it had gotten to the point in which i think I've overworked it. I mean; 2 moons, an asteroid belt, a futuristic city, a fantasy dragon, a charnel pit, and a thorn bush? I don't think an A4 piece of paper was meant for this kind of abuse.
