Yes indeedy. I shall be returning to Robin Hood town this weekend for another round of delivering a good old smack in the chops just as Genma Visage always delivers.
Following up from Glasgow, yeah it's been a fairly productive couple of months albeit with some ups and dreaded downs. The last of my rabbits, Barry passed away on September 1st after a good 11 and a half year run. To cut a long story short it was a particularly heart wrenching moment for the family and an end to an era as well for me, so we miss him deeply.
Nevertheless as I didn't have a summer holiday break this year, Glasgow was a good chance to unwind before the actual event started. So after a laid back coach trip up there, i met up with friends, including the legendary Jim Stewart of the Ganjaman fame and underground legend Dave Alexander, as well as the chaps at comics corner. I want to take this opportunity to say special thanks to Curt, Steve and John as well as James back home for cheering me up after that particular stressful week.
After a day of sightseeing I set up and did convention throughout the weekend. It was an alright gig I thought, I did fairly well. It paled compared to last year I will admit, as for that one day it was my best and busiest convention ever. A special thanks is also owed to the lovely ladies and gents that came to my table.
Truth be told, this hasn't been a dirt horrible year for cons, but it hasn't been my favourite either. The LFCC was quite a disappointment compared to the last two years, and most of my fellow smallpressers pin it on the less than favourable management of said show. But I'm starting to think the focus of popularity has shifted away from the Smallpress scene in favour of mainstream items again. Or in my case it's a simple case of Karma; that is haven't got a new book to show off. When I first showed off GV books 1-3 and 0 i felt like a million bucks. Now i feel more like a 100 bob. Thing is as well, whilst all friends and contacts made have been helpful, I've still been attending these shows on the basis that no one knows me, so it's sods law from there. I feel this is something that needs to change big time for 2015 for sure.
There are new books around the corner mind you. This includes Book 0 part 2 which is about 120 pages worth, an expansion of part 1 and an upcoming anthology of artworks and earlier comics, with Maud Lesgov as the titular character in new stories. This also includes a summary \reference of the older Incubiman artwork, Zulie prototypes and a reprint of what is now known as the "Tytronitek incident."
Further posts regarding the expansion of the GV lore section and plans for books will ensure in the next blog or two, as it's too lengthy to detail on this one. In any case Nottingham is here so i shall go forth and conquer there. See y'all around.
For those new to my work, Genma Visage is an Action Horror comic with Psychic Demonic monsters created by psychic necromantic experiments, heavy metal and hot chicks, and it crushes Hipster balls under it's Iron Boots. Check it out here because it's fuggin' awesome. www.genmavisage.com/

Youtube revival and new accounts added.
Boo! How's it going? I recently added links on my website menu to my growing outposts to LinkedIn, Pinterest, Pixiv(!) and Youtube, the last of which I've resurrected from being an archive storage for early day animations. I dusted off the cobwebs and given the channel a new lick of paint. I can't promise when I'll start adding new videos just yet, but I would love to do art demonstrations, explain my techniques and I certainly haven't ruled out animations in the future either. All of which will include my commentary, the odd inoffensive rant here and there, and more content based on feedback and suggestions. Can I confirm if I will be dressing up like a Muppet just like the other famous Video Bloggers out there? Time will tell (and money talks). Although I'll keep my LinkedIn account alive, I consider its presence on the site a placeholder as I feel the overall business etiquette there is different from the marketing personality of my website. What will take that spots place
Quick Video Interviews.
Tuke's been on camera once or twice! If you recall my outing to the ICE Brighton Comicon back in 2017, I did, in fact, get a bit of internet screentime throughout, particularly in this first video to be showcased where I stealthily slivered into view at about the 2-minute mark. Other folks may recognise their presence at this fair throughout this vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fN5L22ZNx4&t=288s&fbclid=IwAR2ugzibJwAPyT7JdXdF3VOlkiQzcyOQGM1MTEzpDQamdLcMja-OZevh5y4 Admittedly when I first watched this again I thought, "God! Is that what I sound like in recording? What a dope!" coupled with the fact that I think my attention was spread out like it normally is at an active convention plus I got up early to lug heavy luggage from London to Brighton. But other than that, nice to see I look cheerful on camera, and I more or less stick to every word mentioned here. I'm just keeping my eye out now for the interview I did at the MCM's last year. In any case, to those who got me on
News and Shenanigans June 2020
Ello-ello! I'm alive and well. I'm otherwise happy and I hope you all are as well. My recent art has more or less acted as my form of diary during the lockdown period as it has always done. I've had plenty of long walks and shaved my own head to boot. Because I'm a driven chap in my work, I seldom step outside to comment on outside topics in my journals the same way I may strike a conversation in real life. In this instance, I'll offer commentary on a certain subject that landed in my inbox a few weeks back. London MCM Expo May 2020, the one I decided to forego, was initially pushed back and now unsurprisingly it has been cancelled. In fact, the MCM group has cancelled all their conventions up until October so far including Scotland MCM, my other staple convention, and I imagine all the others after will be out the window too. When San Diego Comic-Con is knocked on the head, it's an eye-opener for the future of the Comicon's existence. It's also an interesting time to be a Comic
